Vida IT Tablet PC Warranty Information – Full Tablet PC Range

This information applies to any of our products which come with a warranty. Please read the information carefully before returning items to us as they might not qualify.

Warranty

All our products come with a minimum of a one year warranty unless otherwise stated in the listing. Please keep your payment receipt from Vida IT, as this serves as your warranty certificate. Warranty is valid from the date of purchase.

1. Terms of the warranty agreement will be deemed void if there is evidence of:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper installation or testing, unauthorized attempts to open, repair, or modify the product, or any other causes beyond the range of intended use.
  • Damage caused by accident, fire, water, power changes, other hazards or “acts of God”.
  • Use of the product with any third party device or service if such device or service causes the problem.
  • Use of the product with any third party software or application if such software or application causes the problem.
  • Purchased from an unauthorised reseller or retailer.

If any of the previous terms are deemed to be in effect, the seller reserves the right to release themselves from any contractual or legal agreement with the purchaser.

2. Warranty exclusions: This warranty does not apply to:

  • Consumable parts, such as batteries, or protective coatings designed to diminish over time unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship.
  • Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, and broken plastic on ports.
  • Physical damage to the surface of the product, including cracks or scratches to screens or outside casing.
  • Defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the product.
  • Damage caused by force to ports such as micro SD, HDMI, AC/DC Ports, Earphone Jack, USB Ports and any other ports generic to the tablet PC.
  • Damaged wall chargers.
  • Damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Vida IT.
  • Products or parts that have been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Vida IT.

Warranty Terms: If a defect does occur during the period of warranty, the buyer shall immediately notify the warrantor. The guarantor will have the option to replace or repair the product. If this cannot reasonably be done, the warrantor reserves the right to refund the purchase price paid for the product. The replacement product is warranted for its inherent duration or through to the end of the original warranty, whichever is longer.

Examples of what can void your warranty

  • Cracked touch pad or damaged LCD screen.
  • Overcharging batteries.
  • Damage caused by water, power surges, misuse or neglect.
  • Software failure due to third party applications installed on the tablet PC. If the Android software fails due to installation of a third party application you can reinstall the Android Operating System by visiting our website. Please note that if a tablets is returned to us having issues with the operating system caused by third party applications, Vida IT reserves the right to charge a fee for reinstallation of the Android Operating System.

Warranty claim procedure

  • Return to an authorised Vida IT dealer or distributor from which you purchased the Vida IT product. Please confirm the terms of your dealer’s or distributors return policies prior to returning the product
  • Returning directly to the Vida IT service centre: Obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation through the returns page, and follow the product return procedures.

Remarks

  • Vida IT is not responsible for damage to or loss of any programs, data or removable storage media. It is highly recommended to save (back up) any programs, data or removable storage media.
  • Vida IT’s RMA return policy is based on stock availability; hence the repaired product that you receive might not be the one you have originally sent.
  • Due to the ongoing technology, in case of the discontinuity of any product, Vida IT will be unable to repair the product, and therefore replace the product with a comparable one.
  • Customers must backup any programs, data or removable storage media when using flash base storage devices. Vida IT shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damages or loss of data and files.
  • Vida IT shall not be responsible for any damaged products or products lost during the course of delivery from the customer.
